What kind of photo gives the best results? Black and white or color work equally well. See the Photo Hints page for suggestions about photo selection. I also encourage you to browse this site to get a sense of the different possibilities for poses and compositions. If I receive a photo that is not suitable as a source photo, I will contact you to discuss options. You may also want to send a number of photos, and I'd be glad to help you select the one that would make the best finished work.

Can you group multiple subjects together into one drawing if I send multiple pictures? Yes, this is possible. If you choose this option, it is helpful if you send me several pictures of the same subjects, so I can select the best ones to create a good composition. There is a $10.00 multi-photo paste-up fee for each separate photo that is combined into a single drawing.

What is a JPEG file and why would I want one? A JPEG file is a digital copy of your drawing in a computer file. After the drawing is completed, I can scan the image to create a digital copy. If you include your email address, I will send you the JPEG file via email for FREE. If you do not have an email address, I can send the JPEG file on a CD-ROM for a $7.00 charge. You can use the digital image of your hand drawn image over and over for a wide variety of purposes, including:

Can I get multiple copies printed and framed? Yes, you can. You will receive only one signed original. However, you may order as many signed and numbered copies as you like! Each signed and numbered copy will be printed on high quality paper and then matted and framed just like the original. Each signed copy costs $15.00 unframed and $35.00 framed. For example, you could keep the original for yourself and send the grandparents a signed and numbered copy!

Do you offer gift certificates? Absolutely. When you order a gift certificate, recipients will receive either a tastefully done e-mail card or a traditional postcard informing them of your gift and giving them directions on how to submit their photograph. You will be charged at the time you order your gift certificate. Gift certificates are good for 12 months from the purchase date.

Can I get a refund? I'm sorry, I cannot offer refunds. I keep my prices affordable by limiting the amount of processing and handling time to a minimum. That way, my clients are paying for artistic time and not business overhead. That said, I am committed to happy clients and encourage clients to contact me at 859 462-2294 to discuss any concerns.
